Lousy Smarch Weather...

I'm like those guys, except for all the stuff with the bank.

One week removed from sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s, Wyoming has reverted back to its old nasty weather ways. Sub-freezing temps, wind chills down into the single digits, more snow the likes of which I wasn't expecting to deal with again until next winter, and worst of all - road closures. I'm posting this from my room at the Best Western Tower West Lodge in Gillette, Wyoming, where I am effectively stuck. (I've stayed here a couple of times before, and it's probably the strangest hotel I've ever seen. If I had a camera with me I could document some of its oddities, including the labyrinthine maze of a floorplan layout and the former hotel rooms converted into hallways. It's really something.) Anyway, the forecast looks bleak for now. See for yourself (closed roads in red)...

Most everything in the northeast part of the state is closed, which is where I'm stuck. I came up for a job on Wednesday and was supposed to be back in Casper the same afternoon. It's now Thursday afternoon and the severe weather warning is supposed to last until 6am Friday. We'll see how it goes, but for now it sucks.
