"Extraordinary"

I haven't had the time or energy to post anything since I've been here in Rock Springs, Wyoming (a.k.a. "The Rock"), but I thought the following anecdote was worth the effort.

After another 17 hours spent at the job location, tonight my 37 year old Nigerian teammate informed me and my other teammate that he planned to run to Wal-Mart to get some food. But he wasn't going to bother with changing out of his coveralls, his reason being "I'm married so I don't have to worry about impressing girls. I don't need to find a girlfriend." Or something to that effect.

We pointed out to him that the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Rock Springs doesn't have a lot to offer in the potential girlfriend department anyway.

But he set us straight with this: "Oh no, there are lots of girlfriends at Wal-Mart. They hang out in the fruit section, or where you buy the chicken."
