More than a wee bit of magical shenanigans!
Greatest tagline ever? Hm, maybe. This movie finally made its way to DVD yesterday, and I'm sure I will have ownership of it before the end of the week. Mark my words. Are you still looking at that picture? Geez, look at that mug and tell me he's not about to say "Appleshosh." I defy you. Can't do it, huh? I know.
And in case you're wondering, here's how Merriam-Webster defines applesauce:
1 : a relish or dessert made of apples stewed to a pulp and sweetened
2 slang : BUNKUM, NONSENSE
I've never used 'applesauce' as slang for foolish talk, but God help me, I'm gonna start. And I wish I could slap Peter Brady for his whole "Porkchops and applesauce" Bogart impression. Or punch him in the gut, I guess that's the manlier way to handle it. Or kick him down a flight of stairs.
And from the Extremely Old School Department, here's three things I did this past Sunday:
a)Ate at Chuck E. Cheese's (which really only exists with a faint echo of its earlier glory)
2)Drank Mello-Yello (holy crap!)
d)Purchased and consumed a Jello Pudding Pop.
I don't think that sequence of events can be topped.
