Oh, there's the beef.

Back in September 2004, I made two separate references to "big food." I think it's high time that subject is revisited.

First there was the 6-lb burger from Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA...

Then the impressive 8500 calorie manwich some dude made in the UK.

(Click each picture for a breakdown)

I've since found out that Denny's Beer Barrel Pub lost the title of "world's biggest burger" early this year when the Clinton Station Diner in Clinton, N.J. introduced a 12.5-pound hamburger. Denny's thought that was all well and good but decided they'd like to have the title back. So a few months later they unleashed the beast I'm about to show you. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

And now I'll let these words do the talking...

10.5 pounds of ground beef.
25 slices of cheese.
A head of lettuce.
3 tomatoes.
2 onions
A cup-and-a-half each of mayonnaise, relish, ketchup, mustard and banana peppers.

15 total pounds.

I salute you, Denny's Beer Barrel Pub.
