In Cahoots?

I received the following two voicemails last month, and although they were separated by a week, their similarity has raised my eyebrow.
  • Message from Drew on May 7, 3:58 p.m.
Man... I have found a fundamental flaw in your message. I think... that... your message-- your message says... "I am away from my phone." But.... I think that... this is probably not always true because I think you screen a lot of calls.... or maybe you don't hear your phone?... Aaaaand in this current situation you are probably going through an area where your phone doesn't.... get.... a signal?... Unless of course you left your phone in the car and you're in a gas station or eating... But... man, I demand that you change that to.... reflect a more accurate description of... you in physical... uhh, relationship to your phone.

    I have spoken.

  • Message from Bryan on May 14, 12:25 a.m.
Well, my question is... in your voicemail message you say... "Hey, this is Jeremy, I'm away from my phone,"... but... are you really?... Is it actually in your pocket, or in the cupholder... or... on your desk?

I submit to you that it is not that you who are away from your phone but rather maybe receiving signal it is away from your phone or perhaps... a power charge.

    Hmm.

I don't think this is a coincidence. I think they are teaming up in the interest of voicemail message accuracy. Which is a cause I resist actively. Also it should be clarified that the "Hmm" Bryan spake at the conclusion of his message was not in a Simpsons questioning tone, but rather a ponderous one. As if he were sitting back in his chair, hand to his chin, considering his words. Very inspiring.
