I too am thinking this Man-ticket to be cool. Did you ever see the one where he met the Lady-ticket and fell in Love. They had little baby tickets, and all shows were half-off that day. Man that was sweet. I saw Jaws 3D 13 times. I love Louis Gosset Jr. It so cool when he gets his revenge. I think it is triumphant that a balding jive turkey such as he can aspire to be the Manager of the Central data center for an underwater theme-park. His office is underwater! Woow. Technology. 3D! Anyway, the Man-ticket and his girlfriend make a cute little couple.....That is until someone rips them in half and says....."Third door on your right. Thank you."

Front Row Joe?? You cannot be serious. I always HATED that cat. There's no way that you've seen the afore mentioned Ticket guy, Brack, because if you had then you would love him and he would make you want to sing and dance, and Front Row Joe would be dead to you.

When I read those lines of pure cinematic poetry, I struggled valiantly against my prodding tears, but lost. Those words, reminding me of every individual kernel of popcorn--each more butter-soaked than the last, are a symbol of our lost youth and innocence.

You may remember the time when the accidentally ran that ad twice and my scream of delight humored the crowd. Or that I am the reason you have the magic ticket in your possession today--I stole it from that Borgnine guy.

It isn't surprising that you mention the double ticket incident, Drew. I was gonna bring it up to see if anyone else remembered it. Unless I'm very much mistaken, the "accident" in question happened the very first time any of us saw Mr. Ticket. The entire theater was sitting in awe of the brilliance of the happy song, and as it came to a close everybody in that room wanted nothing more than to hear it again. When fate smiled upon us and Mr. Ticket did indeed give an encore, you voiced what everyone was feeling: sheer elation. Do you remember what you yelled exactly? "Sweet" or "yes" or "NICE" or something along those lines, I believe it was.

I think that, in the end, what sets Mr. Ticket apart from other theater chain mascots is that he seems happy to see you. Cinemark's Front Row Joe gives you the feeling that he's been waiting to watch the movie and he's annoyed that he's had to wait for the audience. And AMC's goofy faceless filmstrip guy (I think his name is "Flick"?) seems to only exist to screw things up by knocking notes off a music sheet. Whereas Mr. Ticket always seemed genuinely pleased that you were in his theater and he was gonna do his darndest to make sure you had a good time.

Reading all these pertinent postings is--like--making me aware of wanting to watch "Last Action Hero" or "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (Any self-respecting American will BOYCOTT the new one starring Jonny "America-is-a-broken-toy" Depp).
